A Long Weekend Escape

Sometimes all it takes is a change of scenery, a change of pace...

How great is the feeling of getting home after a week of work, packing your bags and hitting the road to somewhere new?

A great little escape for us since moving home to North Coast, NSW is the sweet seaside village of Yamba.

Just an hour and a half south of Byron Bay, it is the sleepier, little sister town which is well on the rise.

With great beaches, lovely cafes and wine bars dotted throughout the town.

There is no shortage of lovely stays including our favourite family shack, The Black Ace.

Our top spots are:

Paradisio – top of the hill, a lovely menu and wine list

The Pacific Hotel – you can’t go past the view!

Leche Cafe – a sweet courtyard out the back, they also cater for events in case your planning a party at your holiday home

Beachwood Cafe – cosy, casual, great fresh Turkish inspired foods and good for kids

Exploring the lighthouse, rock pools and swimming in the calm ocean pool at Main Beach.

Julia wears Oroton bags throughout.
